The essentials

  • Entries online through SJI Live; start list on www.sjilive.ie
  • The Spring Tour class starts no later than 3pm
  • Maximum four horses per rider
  • Run under Article 238.2.2 — A jump-off class only
  • Best 10 results count in every category
  • Double points available at the Final

The class & the day's schedule

How every leg of the tour must be run.

  • The Spring Tour class must not start any later than 3pm, and priority is given to it in the day's running order.
  • If a show plans more than one class before the Spring Tour class and entries point to a start after 3pm, the show is asked to reorganise its schedule so the tour class starts by 3pm.
  • All classes run before the Spring Tour class must be run in strict drawn order.
  • Entries are made online through SJI Live. The close of entries must be published on SJI and in the show schedule.
  • The start list is available on SJI Live (www.sjilive.ie).
  • A display clock must be available, preferably with a 45-second countdown.
  • Maximum four horses per rider.
  • The class is run under Article 238.2.2 (an A jump-off class only) as per National Grand Prix rules.
  • A Senior Course Designer and one Senior Judge must be part of the Ground Jury. Should an appeals committee be needed, three SJI officials officiating at the show may form it.
  • The class may only be run under a different format or article number in exceptional circumstances, and only with the prior permission of the SJC / Ground Jury and the sponsor.

Prize fund & entry fees

The money each leg must carry.

  • Minimum prize fund of €3,000 at each leg, except the February legs at €2,500.
  • Entry fees are at the discretion of the show committee.
  • The show will not receive any contribution if it does not comply fully with these rules.

League table points

How the tour is decided.

  • The best 10 results count for all combinations in all categories.
  • Points are awarded per SJI competition and published on SJI Live.
  • Double points are available at the Final.
  • Should there be a draw for the winning place, the combination placed highest in the Final is the winner.
  • It is the rider's or owner's responsibility to keep a record of their points and check it against the leaderboard.

Categories & the Final

Young Rider, Pro-Am and declaring a combination.

  • Young Rider: points are taken from placings in the class, and no points go to combinations that were not placed. The Young Rider section covers Young Riders, Juniors and COH — riders with permission to jump at this height.
  • Top Young Rider receives the title of TRM Young Rider 2027 Ambassador, subject to the sponsor's sole discretion and approval. TRM reserves the right to offer that rider an agreement to represent TRM as an ambassador during the 2027 season; any such appointment is subject to mutually agreed terms and is not automatic by virtue of winning the title.
  • Pro-Am: a league table is kept for this section and a TRM voucher is presented to the winner.
  • Combinations must be declared to showjumpers2010@gmail.com before the combination is eligible for category points. Points are not allocated retrospectively.
  • Final: as a courtesy to the sponsor of the tour, the top combinations on the leaderboard going into the Final must be present to receive their prizes on the day.
  • Results are sent out after the class on WhatsApp. To have your name included on that list, text your request to 086 825 2828.

Sponsorship & publicity

What each show must put in front of the ring.

  • The principal sponsor of the tour must be included in the heading of the schedule, i.e. TRM Spring Tour 2027.
  • Promotional information is presented to the show by the sponsor or the SJC.
  • The sponsor is announced during the class at each leg — for example: TRM Spring Tour 1.35 supported by P White.
  • The club thanks the individual sponsors of each leg and will be delighted to put their logo and information on the SJC social pages.
  • Sponsors of individual legs may not be in direct competition with the principal sponsor of the tour. Queries on 086 825 2828.
  • Every effort will be made to get publicity for each leg of the tour. Forward your supporter's logo if you wish it included.
